AVT Audio Video Technologies GmbH is a company based in Nuernberg, Germany, and manufactures Audio Codecs, Telephone Hybrids and DAB products for broadcasting stations and telecom operators.

　　The telephone hybrid product portfolio provides systems for ISDN, POTS and GSM networks with LAN control, data base software and screening functionalities. Compact hybrids for two callers as well as modular systems for up to 16 callers are available. All systems provide a digital Echo Canceller, an Expander for noise reduction and an Automatic Gain Control (AGC) for each caller line. Many advanced functionalities like an integrated telephone book, a blacklist for blocking callers, easy pre-emption of callers, VIP caller lines, DTMF analyser for game shows, etc, are implemented.

　　AVT’s Audio Codecs provide POTS, ISDN, X.21, E1 (2-Mbit/s) and LAN interfaces for high-quality audio transmission. The ISDN J.52 transmission standard and the SIP protocol for IP connections are implemented. The Audio Codecs support the G.711, G.722, ISO/MPEG Layer 2/3, HE-AAC-V2 and apt-X coding algorithms. All systems are working energy-efficiently, soundlessly and without fan.

　　The new AVT DAB/DAB+ Audio Encoders with X.21 as well as IP interface incorporate ISO/MPEG Layer 2 and MPEG4 HE-ACC-V2 coding algorithms for DAB and DAB+ applications. For PAD (Program Associated Data) transmission, an RS232 interface is available. The integrated Monitoring Audio Decoder allows the user to monitor the uncoded and coded audio signals. Furthermore, the monitored audio signal can also be switched to the headphone output.

　　On the basis of the new Audio Codecs, AVT has developed the MAGIC E1 Audio System.The system consists of a Multiplexer and up to 10 Audio Codecs or Audio Decoders and can transmit up to ten stereo audio signals via a 2-Mbit/s (E1) interface.
